Peace Corps Volunteering

        До Інформаційного Центру «Вікно в Америку» з робочим візитом завітав координатор проекту розвитку громад  Корпусу Миру США в Україні Марат Кюрчевський. На зустріч з ним прийшли представники різних громадських організацій, а також волонтери Корпусу Миру США, які працюють у нашому місті або є його гостями.

       Під час зустрічі Марат Кюрчевський розповів про діяльність Корпусу Миру, яка відбувається через співпрацю добровольців з організаціями країни-партнера, що запросила Корпус Миру до себе. Добровольці - американські громадяни, що виявили бажання приїхати та працювати в місцевих організаціях протягом двох років. Наразі Корпус Миру здійснює свою діяльність у 73 країнах світу – в Європі та Азії, в Латинській Америці та Африці. Вже протягом чотирьох десятиліть Корпус Миру надає технічну допомогу шляхом втілення в життя програм у сфері освіти, розвитку громад, сприяння розвитку бізнесу, захисту навколишнього середовища, сільського господарства, охорони здоров’я та роботи з молоддю.

       Програма Корпусу Миру зареєстрована в Міністерстві економіки України як проект технічної допомоги США Україні. Партнерськими міністерствами Корпусу Миру є Міністерство економіки України, Міністерство освіти та науки та Міністерство у справах сім’ї, молоді та спорту.

Під час зустрічі було обговорено аспекти подальшої співпраці між Корпусом Миру США та ВОУНБ ім. К.А. Тімірязєва щодо реалізації  проектів культурної та  соціальної спрямованості задля розвитку місцевих громад.

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

The 8th of January becomes the starting point of the English-Speaking Club meetings.

The topic of this meeting is discussion of ways to celebrate New Year and Christmas. The participants share with their own ideas. Some of them prefer travelling to staying at home because of being young and not having chair days yet. They suggest spending their time in Bukovel as one of the expressive and unforgettable ways to have happy New Year and Christmas time. Most of the participants like to have this time with their families. So, it gives a chain-react for the following discussion of every pair.

Гурток Спілкування Англійською Мовою

15 липня 2010 року у відділі літератури іноземними мовами відбулась зустріч учасників Гуртка Спілкування англійською мовою. Темою зустрічі  передбачалось обговорення послуг, які надаються людям з функціональними можливостями. Керівник Мет Мозінго запропонував різні питання з цієї теми, що стосуються того, на скільки наше місто є комфортним для такої категорії людей.
