March Topic for English Club: Hopes and Preferences

It does not matter if you want some changes or do not, but new spring season with its wish to blossom changes you. First, it presents freshness, recency, verdure or viridity, sometimes breeziness, and at least originality. In your mind it is a vortex of desires, hopes and dreams. Among them there are those you want to achieve during your lifetime. Do you have any aspirations that you want to fulfill? If so, what are they and how do you plan on accomplishing them'? Do you have any preferable methods for ensuring success? What legacy would you like to leave? Let's discuss these questions together.

Fun Fact of the Day: "In Wyoming, you need a license to take a picture of a rabbit during January, February, March, or April" (www.lmtcg.com).
Topic:
1. What is the difference between something you "like" and what you "prefer" to do? What is a "preference"? What activities do you like and dislike doing on a regular basis? What is your favorite extracurricular activity at the moment? How do you spend your free time? Do your preferences depend on mood, season, or social group, etc.?

2. Do you consider yourself as an "adventurous" person? Would you prefer to do something adventurous, or rather stay home and relax? What was the most unforgettable adventure of your life? Did you plan this activity, or did it happen unexpectedly? How can you choose the best activity to do in a given moment?
3. Do you prefer going to new places or re-visiting old destinations, but perhaps with a new purpose or goal9 What is your favorite place that you visited in the past and why did you like it? Are there any places you hope to visit in the future? If you could choose one new place to go, where would it be and why would you go there?
4. What is your favorite hobby? Is this a lifelong interest or a more recent preference preference? Are there any new personal hobbies you would like to begin? What interests you about these activities? Similarly, are there any major accomplishments you hope to achieve in the recent future (degrees, new jobs, etc.)? How do you plan to do so? What do you prefer: enjoying old hobbies or accomplishing something new?
5. Do you have a personal "style"? Is it difficult to invent your own style? How much money do you spend on clothes and fashion? If you dislike fashion, what do you prefer to buy with your money? Do you like or dislike people who are dressed in "high fashion," expensive, or otherwise unique clothes? Do you consider fashion as useful or useless? How does it affect our daily lives?
6. What hopes and dreams do you want to achieve during your lifetime? Do you have any aspirations that you want to fulfill? If so, what are they and how do you plan on accomplishing them'? Do you have any preferable methods for ensuring success? What legacy would you like to leave?
