Monday, 27, the English Club for beginners attracted numerous English learners this time. So, we see, that the interest to English doesn't vanish and more and more people are eager to study it.

On Saturday, 25, we watched "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" - a 1986 American teen comedy film. Released by Paramount Pictures on June 11, 1986, the film became one of the top-grossing films of the year, receiving $70.1 million over a $5.8 million budget, and was enthusiastically acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. In 2014, the film was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." In 2016, Paramount, Turner Classic Movies, and Fathom Events re-released the film to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Today's Game Club gathered us again around the table. It is a real pleasure to study English playing games and talking with your friends!

On February, 25 the discussion topic of the English Club was “The Oscars 2017 / 89th Academy Awards”. It was a real pleasure to find out a lot of interesting facts about the history of this Award.

We also had the opportunity to talk with each other and become contenders for good prizes that were  raffled off at the Club. And also we tried ourselves as screenwriters and the best works were awarded.

The last Tuesday, on February 21, the main topic of the English club was "California". The moderator Matt M. prepared a US Quiz to give us interesting facts about the California State. And it has become a tradition to have a contest at the end of the meeting. The last meeting was not an exception. The evening was filled with laughter and positive emotions.

February, 20, the English Club for beginners was focused on the Continuous Tenses. The leader Katia S. continued inroducing the English learners into the English grammar.

Last Saturday on the 18th of Fabruary the Reading Club gathered the reading public of Vinnytsia for reading together the short story titled... "The Reading Public" by Stephen Leacock. Well, the reading public gathered together to read "The Reading Public"... However, it is always good to read.

Today we have a very active and large Game Club. We play all the games. Laughter is heard on 3 floors of our building. Come, you still have time

18 February in the Window on America Center hosted a mini Theatre with performance "Follow your dream" . Each was able to try yourself in the role like an actor. Mary M. has conducted several exercises with active visitors. The emotions are bubbling, so it was instructive and fun at the same time

15 лютого 2017 року Вінницька ОУНБ ім. К.А. Тімірязєва відзначила своє славне 110-річчя. З цієї нагоди Інформаційно-ресурсний центр "Вікно в Америку" розмістив в холі головного приміщення бібліотеки ювілейну інсталяцію.

Символічно, що для виготовлення інсталяції знадобилося 110 книг - з серій "Encyclopedia "Americana"" та "The Lіbrary of America", що представляють кращі здобутки американської літератури, а також ііноваційні скарби центру - iMac, нетбуки, планшети.

Дякуємо усім, хто розділив з нами це свято!

From Insurgent to fairy tales...

February, 11, 2017 we finished watching the 2d part of the Insurgent, and next week at 4 p.m. on Saturday, instead of watching a movie we are going to start reading fairy tales with our moderator Natalia M. This Reading Club will take place once a month in the WOA Center. And the Movie Club will be back in two weeks.

On the 11th of February on the game club we played the games Articulate and Alias. It was a real fun!

St. Valentine's Day is approaching, that's why today's topic on the meeting of the English Club was very romantic - we talked about Dating... Sometimes the ideas were extremely opposite - everyone has one's own experience. However, it was interesting and brought a lot of positive emotions.

February, 9, 2017, after the Japanese Meeting (see "тімірязєвк@ інформує" group on Facebook) we continued the meetings in the English club. The topic was The Bucket Lists. What is there on your bucket list? Do you have any plans for the nearest future? Would you like to share your ideas with the others? We are waiting for you and your smart ideas!

February, 7, 2017, We continue our journey round the USA with our volunteer Matt M. This time iy was Georgia we went to. Georgia - the State situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, the State of peaches, peanuts and blueberries, full of sunshine and beauty... You are sure to love it.

On the 6th of February the attendants of the English club for beginners wrote a final test in grammar (the Simple Tenses) and, encouraged by the success, felt ready to go ahead. The next topic is the Continuous Tenses.

Приємною несподіванкою для відвідувачів Клубу вихідного дня в Центрі "Вікно в Америку" (ВОУНБ, вул. Соборна, 70) був похід в планетарій та екскурсія англійською мовою!

Незважаючи на ожеледицю та несприятливу погоду, ми таки відправилися на спільну прогулянку, аби насолодитися спілкуванням та гарно провести час, дізнавшись щось незвичне і разом з тим корисне.

February, 4, 2017. It was a very busy day. The Speaking English Club began, as usual, with short introduction - we have more and more newcomers! (Moderators - Matt M., Dima K.) Then we talked about Space and then - went to a real planetarium!

Some of us, however, came back after the walk and continued the day, enjoying studying English in the Game Club (Leader - Sasha S.).

And, of course, how could we do without a movie? "Insurgent" was our movie for this Saturday.

January, 31, 2017. The last day of the first month of the year brought a lot of joy to everyone who attented the meeting in our English Club. The leader Mat M. prepared an exciting presantation of his native State - Virginia. It was like having a virtual journey to the USA... To be continued.
