An Art of Tapping

News from Vinnytsia WOA Center (Ukraine)
We learn an art of tapping.
Skype with Maggie H. (Chicago, Illinois).

A Discussion on 'Extraordinary Gifts'

English for users with an intermediate level starts this time with ice-breakers. It is a chance to be acquainted with each other. The participants told more about their dreams and wishes. A Discussion on Extraordinary Gifts followed a starting point. A turning point of the meeting was watching some fragments on a 2001 American biographical drama movie based on the life of John Nash, a Nobel Laureate in Economics. The film was directed from a screenplay written by Akiva Goldsman. It was inspired by a bestselling, Pulitzer Prize-nominated 1998 book of the same name by Sylvia Nasar. We got to know about the life of the best natural code-breaker ("A Beautiful Mind").
At the end of the session attendees spoke more on a poem 'Life', interpreting it and making some grammar exercises.

Books for Treats Day (October 31)

Books for Treats is a program that encourages you to give “gently read” children’s books at Halloween instead of candy.
Books feed children’s minds, while candy only feeds their cavities. Books encourage children to read, and parents to read with them and/or ask them about their books. Many children rarely receive books as gifts, so even gently read books are special treats.

United Nations Day

UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being. October 24 has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948. In 1971, the United Nations General Assembly recommended that the day be observed by Member States as a public holiday.

Bright English with Diana G.

The club was dedicated to the ways of greeting people in different countries. Everyone knows that the customs of greeting someone are often different from country to country, and unfamiliar customs can sometimes be confusing. Travelers, especially when in unfamiliar cultures, almost need to know what different gestures mean just to make sure not to offend someone when meeting and greeting. The second part was devoted to grammar( Reported Speech). If you are interested in learning new information about other countries or just want to spend time with pleasure, then you’re welcome to our club on Wednesdays! The next our activity will be held on November 5, 2014 at 5 pm.

Tapping to Lessen Guilt

October 20, 2014: Tapping to Lessen Guilt:

Today we tapped with friends in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. Our topic was guilt and its many forms.

We all have a potential for feeling guilt. Guilt may be for an actual wrong we have done. Guilt may also be for a perceived wrong done to someone else. Or, guilt may be felt for a wrong someone had done to us, yet we feel the guilt and a sense of responsibility

Other words we talked about to define that sense of guilt are:

regret
shame
self-reproach
embarrassment

We tapped on family guilt:

“Even though I cannot be there all the time for my parents, I deeply and completely accept myself and my feelings of guilt.”

We understood that tapping may lead to solutions. We talked about he generalization effect, that helps you tap on your own problem with group focused on someone's different problem.

Question: Is tapping better than just thinking about solutions?

I believe tapping relaxes you more. Once you are relaxed, more answers/solutions often come into your mind. Also, tapping leads to reframes of problems. You see from a more developed and open view.

Question: What about when another has treated you badly by saying negative words about you, and you feel also guilty about that treatment? Let's ask more questions of those negative words:
Is it true?
Is only part of it true?
What can you do to improve situation, if part of it is true?
Do you understand you may also choose to leave it be? You may choose to not respond in any way. Your own behavior and reputation speaks for itself.

Tapping is a personal and spiritual development tool. You will often find solutions and also reframe a problem and see the problem in a much broader view. In addition, with relationships, you may just start to see that YOU ARE THE OTHER PERSON. We are all connected.
Suggestion: Try tapping morning and night for just one week. I suggest once in the morning at wake up, and I also suggest once in the evening at bed time. Then review and scan your body. Tell me how you are feeling.
All the best,
Maggie H.

Tapping to Lessen GUILT and feelings of SHAME

Monday October 20, 2014:

Where: English Club in Vinnytsia, Ukraine

Topic: Tapping to Lessen GUILT and feelings of SHAME

When: 1730 to 1900 (GMT +3) or 9:30 to 11:00 (GMT -6)

How: Skype the name "ohanamaggie" with Maggie H. at WOA Library with our Yulia K. facilitating:
Use tapping to lessen or possibly remove entirely your feelings of guilt. Guilt may also be called regret or responsibiity or even shame or embarassment.

When guilt lingers for a long time, that feeling of continued self-reproach can cause blockages in your energetic system. Open up your energy system by tapping--feel better and feel yourself work and play once more at 100%!

Guilt is often resolved by words, saying sincerely "I am sorry" often frees you from that sense of failure or shame. What if you had asked for forgiveness, or, the person you offended is now deceased, and you continue to feel a sense of guilt?

Learn tapping skills to lessen your cortisol level after this energy blockage from guilt is opened up with tapping.

We see you there!
