The Mission Statement (The second session on Economics by Jim Buel)


On the 11th of April the Information Center "Window on America" was inviting participants of the second session on Economics by PC Volunteer Jim Buel). It was reviewed and discussed the following questions:
Mission

At the very least, a Mission Statement should address the following:
По крайней мере, миссия должна рассмотреть следующее:

1. What are the opportunities or needs that exist that we address? Каковы возможности и потребности, которые существуют, что мы обращаемся?(Цель организации)
2. What are we doing to adress these needs? (The Business of the organization) Что мы делаем для удовлетворения этих потребностей?(БИЗНЕС организации)
3. What principles or beliefs guide our work? (The VALUES of the organization) Какие принципы или убеждения руководства нашей работы? (Ценности организации)
The Mission Statement should (Миссия должна):
1.   Express the organization's purpose in a way that inspires support and ongoing commitment 
2.   Motivate those who are connected to the organization
3.   Be articulated in a way that is convincing and easy to grasp
4.   Use proactive verbs to describe what you do 
5.   Be free of jargon 
6.  Be short enough so that anyone connected to the organization can readily repeat it
