Description: To commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence campaign, the U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, Catherine Russell, will host a panel discussion on November 25, 2013 at 09:30 EST (14:30 UTC). The discussion will highlight intimate partner violence — the most prevalent form of violence against women globally, affecting 30% of women worldwide — and will focus on the links between domestic and international activism. The Ambassador-at-Large will take questions from a live audience of civil society and government leaders at the U.S. Department of State, as well as a global audience of online viewers.
