A Discussion on 'Resurrection Sunday, or Easter Time'
It was a great discussion about Ukrainian and American traditions to celebrate Easter time. Americans celebrate the Easter holiday period according to their beliefs and their religious denominations. Christians commemorate Good Friday as the day that Jesus Christ died and Easter Sunday is celebrated as the day that He was resurrected. Throughout the US, children wake up on Easter Sunday to find that the Easter Bunny has left them baskets of Easter eggs and candies. In many cases, the Easter bunny has also hidden the eggs. Children hunt for the eggs all around the house. We also discussed about the Christian aspects of this holiday, Resurrection Sunday.
