English Club on "Motivation" /PC Volunteer Mila/

There may be a lot of things that you wish to accomplish. But then because of the most unexpected twists and turns of the events, your dream of fulfilling something may have suddenly become blurred and unreachable. But you would not let it happen and have it stay that way, right? There is always the chance to straighten things out. Let's discuss this topic together. Perhaps, you'll get some ideas to be motivated!
Fun Fact of the Day: "The average U.S. consumer is expected to spend $116.21 on Valentine's Day gifts, meals, and entertainment" (www.news.nationalgeographic.com).
Starter Questions: What is the strangest gift you've ever been given? What's the nicest gift you've ever been given? Do you ever feel obligated to give gifts on certain holidays out of tradition or expectation? Do you like giving gifts?
Topic: MOTIVATION
1. What is motivation? What motivates you? Do you feel motivated to start something unique or challenging? Are you motivated when learning new things or starting a new task?
2. Does motivation change over time? Were you motivated by different things as a child compared to now? Are you motivated differently in various parts of your life, such as in education and the workplace vs. your personal life?
3. Do you feel more motivated if you share your goals with others so that they can encourage and help yo or do you self-motivate? Can you motivate friends or family to achieve a certain goal? Give examples. Can you really help increase someone else's motivation?
4. Is there a difference between internal and external motivation? Are motivated people more successful than unmotivated ones? How can you stay motivated over time?
5. Does competition help motivate you? Is there such a thing as too much competition? How can competition demotivate?
6. What causes people to lose motivation? Can other people negatively alter or reserve your motivation? can you stay motivated if you temporarily fail in reaching a goal?
