February 23, 2012 is marked at Vinnytsia Information Center WOA with a Skype Discussion on a topic "Ukrainian Americans: An Ethnic Portrait" (Ukrainians in America, Americans of the Ukrainian descent). The participants of Vinnytsia English Club had a chance to get to know more on Waves of the Ukrainian Immigration to the USA, about the Ukrainian Community speaking also with a representative of US-Ukraine Foundation in Washington, DC.
There are a lot of successful, famous Ukrainians in the US. Ihor Gawdiak is not exception to this statement. This list could not be complete without this person. So, he became a speaker of a chosen discussion. He told about his mission being the President of the Ukrainian American Coordinating Council, a member of the Advisory Council of the US-Ukraine Foundation, and his position of an analyst at the Library of Congress. The speaker shared his ideas on his future plans. There were 32 attendees of this event. In a spectrum of numerous questions were also those about a cultural life of Ukrainians in Washington,DC and that assistance of the Ukrainian Community to Ukrainian immigrants. Some words were said on a status of the Ukrainian language in US.
