- After a week of such cold weather, imagine that you won a vacation to any warm-weather location on Earth… where would you go and what would you do there?
Discussion Topic: “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” What does ‘pursuit of happiness’ mean to you?
1. Do you think that people who live in comfortable climates are happier? Would people in Ukraine be happier if there was a tropical climate here?
2. Would you like to live in a place that did not have 4 seasons, but was warm all year long? Do you think that you personally would generally be happier if you lived in a tropical location?
3. Miami was recently been rated as the “most miserable city in America,” or that city where people are the least happy, even though it has beautiful weather every day. Why do you think this is true?
4. Other than the climate, what other factors are important for the happiness of a city or country? Which of these are the most important?
5. The US Constitution says that all Americans have the right to “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” What does ‘pursuit of happiness’ mean to you?
